For the second assignment is a team work assignment to create a 1: 1 scale fuel tank. Our group chose the Harley 883 Iron as the model. Here are the name of other members :
1. The first step is use the photos to create a 3d digital model. The photos should be take as much as possible to show the different angles of the tank.
2. The next step is digitally the photos to create a 3D model. We have tried several solutions. In the end we chose Autodesk Recap (Photogrammetry) to generate the model. At this stage, measure the real model to put dimensions of the digital one and fix the part that is not necessary.
This is the model I made in Rhino but eventually we chose the other one.
3. Then put the file to Fusion 360 slicer to generate the templates for laser cutting. At first we are doing 3mm cut, however due to the material supplied in the lab we change it to 6mm plywood. We cut it at Saturday.
